I wear over the calf compresion socks. I didn't have the finger strength nor grip to stretch the sock over the applicator, but then I read a suggestion that using grippy rubber faced gloves, like garden gloves, makes stretching and rolling the sock much easier. With my hands open, I can use my palms to push down with my arms. Had I not read that suggestion, the device would not have workred for me. That same techinque helps with revmoval. Now I am am pleased at how much easier it is to don and remove socks.
